Before ordering a made-to-order dress from JJsHouse.com. we strongly recommend you to find a professional local tailor who can help you measure accurately. Here, we'll show you which measurements are needed and how to correctly take them. Warning: measuring yourself at home is trickier than you think! For best results, always have your measurements taken by a professional local tailor.
Bust
*This is not your bra size!
*Wear an unpadded bra (your dress will have a built-in bra)
*Relax arms at sides
*Pull tape across the fullest part of the bust
Waist
*Find the natural waist
*This is the smallest part of the waist
*Usually about 1 inch (ca. 2.5cm). above belly button
*Keep tape slightly loose to allow for breathing room
Hips
*Find the widest part of the hips
*Usually about 7 inch (ca. 18cm). below natural waist
*Tape should brush across both hipbones
Shoulder
Shoulder - From the edge of the shoulder socket, measure across the back to the same point on the other shoulder.
Hollow to Floor (Bare Foot)
*Stand straight with feet together
*Measure in bare feet
*Begin at the hollow space between the collarbones and pull tape straight down to the floor
*To fit high heels, we’ll add an extra 2 inch (ca. 5cm) onto custom-sized floor-length dresses and dresses with trains
Height
* Stand straight with feet together
* Measure in bare feet
* Begin at the top of the head and

I ordered the Empire SH Chiffon dress in Lavender as I attended a wedding at a winery that had their Lavender in full bloom. The dress was a smashing success. The only advice I can give is to NOT cheat with your measurements. I thought the length needed a bit of a boost so I added an inch to my order. I ultimately needed to take the dress to be hemed. Note that the beaded front..........GORGEOUS.......is a bit top heavy for those of us that are a bit top heavy. I needed my taylor to add spagetti straps which did not take away from the beautiful gown. I have recommended this site to anyone and everyone and will return for my next event dress purchase.

I am from New Zealand. I ordered this dress in Pearl Pink for my granddaughter who is 16 and a Size 2. The colour was perfect quite unlike anything else I've seen and gave a vintage look to the dress, exactly what she wanted. The fit was spot on. She changed her mind about the colour after I had ordered it and I was able to 'live chat' to a 'real person' about the order which was reassuring. The dress arrived well before the requested date. 3.Dry cleaning minimizes the need to use dryers, irons and steamers to dry or remove wrinkles. Heat can be damaging to the fabric of our dresses.
This kind of dresses do cost more energy for maintenance. We sincerely hope the above suggestion is helpful to you.
